As Wolfhead Distillery celebrates a Decade of Distilling, we're proud to introduce one of our most anticipated whisky releases yet. Midnight Run is a bold blend of Canadian whisky and imported American bourbon, bottled at 96 proof and non chill filtered for maximum character. Crafted for those who appreciate depth, spice, and a little rebellion in their glass, Midnight Run marks an exciting new chapter in Wolfhead's ten year journey.

A Decade in the Making

Over the past ten years, Wolfhead Distillery has built a reputation for doing things differently. From pioneering unique flavour combinations to producing award winning spirits enjoyed across Ontario and beyond, innovation has always been at the heart of what we do.

As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we wanted to create a whisky that honours our passion for craftsmanship while delivering the bold character whisky enthusiasts are searching for. The result is Midnight Run, a spirit inspired by the rich tradition of bourbon and crafted with Wolfhead's independent spirit.

Built on a Bold Mash Bill

Every great whisky begins with the grain.

Midnight Run is crafted from a carefully selected mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. The high corn content provides a smooth foundation and subtle sweetness, while the elevated rye content delivers the spice and complexity that make this whisky stand out. A touch of malted barley rounds out the profile, creating exceptional balance and depth.

Bottled at 96 proof and non chill filtered, Midnight Run retains the natural oils and flavour compounds that contribute to a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour experience.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Lightly sweet aromas of honey and caramel open on the nose, complemented by hints of fig and dried stone fruit. Subtle notes of citrus peel add brightness and balance.

Palate

Smooth and warming on the first sip, layers of rye spice and clove unfold across the palate. A gentle butterscotch sweetness develops into rich flavours of toasted oak, honey, vanilla, and toffee, creating a complex yet approachable whisky.

Finish

Long and warming, the finish lingers with notes of leather and tobacco leaf. What begins dry gradually evolves into a soft sweetness, leaving lasting impressions of oak and dried fruit.

A Label That Tells a Story

Midnight Run is more than a whisky. It is also a tribute to the creativity and character that have shaped Wolfhead over the past decade.

The label features artwork inspired by the iconic mural that has become synonymous with the Wolfhead experience. Created by friend and artist Steven Johnson, the mural has welcomed guests to our distillery for years and reflects the independent spirit that defines both Wolfhead and this release.
